Market Metamorphosis: The Awakening Ground of the Economy - Part 1
INnovation is the only solution! It will be forged in the fires of constraint.
The Ruby Mirror Tarot, by Rebecka Eggers, provides penetrating insights using Egyptian alchemy, Kabbalah, and Alchemical Astrology.
Rebecka designed The Ruby Mirror Tarot to liberate perspectives, break down what appears to be settled reality, and open new pathways of creativity via the reflection of renewal it provides.

What We Desire Most: The Five of Disks ∞
The Five of Disks traditionally encapsulates that old saying, “A stitch in time saves nine.”
Or rather, it points to the relative amount of peril or labor you face when delaying necessary action (for whatever reason).
It also points to the kind of change that you must make because there are no longer any options. Imagine a journey you embark upon in winter without adequate preparation or a desert crossing you must undertake because there is no other route.
The Five of Disks heralds the kind of hasty journey you make under great strain. The journey is foisted upon you by adversity or rapidly changing conditions. Your failure to act in a more favorable season thrusts you into forward motion whether you like it or not.
But there is more to this card than previously imagINed!
If you look closely you will see that the ground is awakening. The essential metal, copper, predominates. The copper is rising from the ground. Or is it returning to it? Perhaps it is conducting energy between the ground and the dark mirror above?
Whatever the case, the copper is depicted as an active, creative force. It is not a passive object, but an active protagonist. This depiction is meant to shake the core assumption that matter is inert (lying powerless in the ground).
Copper, in particular, is a very dynamic metal. It undergoes processes that give it life-like qualities both scientifically and metaphysically.
Copper is constantly in motion via processes from bacterial oxidation to its crucial role in plant, animal, and human nutrition. Copper is critical to iron metabolism, antioxidant defense, and various enzymatic functions.
In proper balance, copper sustains biological processes. In excess, it can be toxic. It reminds us how important dynamic balance is within the natural world.
Copper is also constantly evolving through various states and processes. Copper’s ongoing transformation illustrates how it, though not alive in a biological sense, plays a vital, active role in the living world.
Copper bridges the gap between inanimate matter and the dynamic processes typically associated with life. It undergoes various transformations, from its natural formation in the Earth's crust through hydrothermal processes to industrial extraction and utilization.
Though usable copper deposits are thought to be limited, new copper deposits may still be forming around Earth’s active (or recently active) volcanoes. Therefore, copper’s story, like our own is in flux.
